Townsite of Redwood Meadows

Redwoods Meadows is unique community of approximately 1300 residents on leased First Nation land. The community operates as a municipality with a multi-million dollar budget, operations and administrative staff, dozens of volunteers and its own Infrastructure, Emergency Services and Taxation.

Mayor/ Councillor: 2007- Present

Elected Mayor responsible for all operations of Townsite management including overseeing numerous committees, staffing, planning, budgeting, governance, taxation and lease renewal.

  • Developed and successfully implemented programs and strategies to increase communication, capacity and output while decreasing operational expenses.
  • Expanded volunteer capacity by creating and overseeing new committees and positions for Sustainable Development, Government Relations, Emergency Services, and Lease Renewal.
  • Working with the Tsuu T’ina Nation, the Federal and Provincial Governments in many areas ranging from infrastructure development and maintenance to grant allocation.

Forethought Life/Canadian Funeral Programs/Assurant: 1999- Present

A leading marketing company and Insurance agency that provides innovative marketing, sales and customer service training, human resource assistance, and financial products to the Funeral Service Industry, generating revenue in excess of $80 million annually.

Director of Sales and Marketing- Western Canada: 2009-Present

Reporting to the President, responsible for developing new marketing initiatives and managing Western Canadian territory consisting of 75 accounts and 25 counselors.

  • Responsible for all aspects of business development including attaining new business, planning, sales projections, budgeting and business development.
  • Presented at numerous conferences and seminars on subjects ranging from new marketing initiatives to success factors in business to organizational change.
  • Utilized Masters Thesis to identify key factors in success, developing new business paradigm.

Sales and Marketing Consultant: 1999-2009

Reported to the director, responsible for all business development in Alberta and BC.

Account Development Representative/ Customer Service Supervisor

  • Managed a territory of over 500 accounts and $3-4 million in revenue marketing Pepsi-Cola products, services and equipment to new and existing clientele across all market channels.
  • Controlled budgets for Customer Development Agreements, Local Opportunity Funds, and Grocery Rebates etc.
